At
MSC all our programs, activities and events are designed with a focus
on fostering ‘student excellence’ to improve student learning outcomes. Our House Tribes system supports our culture of school wide positive behaviour (SWPB). It builds on the work we do in our classrooms, bringing the school
together as a whole to provide the best opportunities for student growth
in how to be upstanding citizens and leaders in community settings.
Inspired by our rich natural environment, we have used plants as emblems for our school community. Cumbungi is our overarching school emblem. As a whole we are the Cumbungi Champions, striving to grow to be the best we can be.
The House Tribes of MSC further reflect the beautiful country we come from. Our House Tribes are named for the Banksia, Boronia, Heath and Waratah plants. The House Tribes promote belonging, achievement, respect and
teamwork (BART) within MSC. They enable students to build on friendship
networks, enhance academic skills, partake in healthy competition, plan
and run events and activities of their choice and, most important of all, have fun and happy times.
